Anyone else find the admonition to 'not be late' in this spot odd at best and most probably noxiously patronizing? How bizarre! What, does Anna think that 'regular people' can't be punctual or something? Is there some secret connection between income or fashion sense and the ability to be on time to a political fundraiser? What a raging non sequitur.
I've never critiqued political advertising before and probably wouldn't have even taken notice of this except for that enormous gaffe at the end. I'm guessing/hoping that the line was an effort to be funny. It does, however, demonstrate the profound tone deafness of some who create advertising.
