This has to be one of the more moving ads of the year - is it effective?

This new campaign from Levi's seems to get closer to the authentic and gritty feel of older campaigns - and it makes me feel good about buying and wearing the product - but do I represent too small a demographic? Will this work on a large scale? Can an ad that makes you cry make you buy?
